Transient or stable cell lines transfection
This method consists in the introduction of specific nucleic acids sequence into eukaryotic cells by various chemical, lipid or physical methods.
We performed chemical methods by calcium phosphate or cationic lipid-based reagents that coating the DNA leads to the fusion with the lipid bilayer allowing DNA permeation through cell membranes. The process can be performed in a transient or, after selection, in a stable way. This technology is a powerful tool to study gene function and protein expression.
